If you have read my posts, you know I am a fan of the SCD: The Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD) has been shown to normalize the microbiome in people with Crohn's ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/labs/pmc/a... and UC. ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/labs/pmc/a...
So I found this handy PDF to print out: Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD) Allowable Foods siboinfo.com/uploads/5/4/8/...
Now... I don't know anybody that connects the SCD with helping PD. It just makes sense to me as it might help normalize the microbiome. And I don't know how tightly this diet needs to be followed.
I'm sharing this to A: Share the link. B: Share that I noticed this diet conflicts with some of the things I eat/take.
These are all the "not allowed" foods I eat/take: Mannitol, Canned fish and canned chicken, Licorice, Inositol, Melatonin, Cucumbers, Jicama, Seaweed, Balsamic vinegar.
I can give up the Balsamic vinegar. I will have to dig into the "whys' on the others.
