Just celebrated our 50 th wedding anniversary with our friends and families, and had the most amazing time, 2 surprise parties and one planned. I was concerned whether or not it might be too much for my husband, but he enjoyed it as much as I did. Thought the champagne and wine might cause a few additional issues with PD symptoms but not a bit, in fact walking today was much improved - faster than me!
Alcohol seems to help lessen his leg dystonia when sitting in a more upright chair such as in a restaurant.
Having fun and socialising helps so much with lifting mood and spirits, now we intend to do more of it! We won’t give up the Red light hat just yet, or supplements.(just over a year now with the red light hat). Maybe at the moment we are just getting the balance as best as we can.
