For those who have used entacapone, did you find it caused you fatigue?
? for Entacapone users: For those who have... - Cure Parkinson's
? for Entacapone users
Hi there. When I started, I was falling asleep everytime I sat down. I stopped for three days and started again. The second time it was much better but still a tendency to sleeping as before.
Now comes the add on.
In retrospect , I had just had my second Covid vaccine before I started. The most obvious symptom of the Covid vaccine were sudden intense headaches but various other symptoms have disappeared eg I had become comparatively weak ( I thought that was a symptom of getting older). Two days ago I lifted a 2.5 gallon bucket of water over the top of a 5 bar gate. I amazed myself. Back to normal. Three weeks ago I could only carry the same bucket half full.
So was my falling asleep the Entacapone or the vaccine. I don’t know.
If I am at home I take 4 tablets a day with the Madapor If I am going to be away from home I take Madapor every 2.5 - 3 hours and leave the Entacapone just in case it is the Entacapone that is causing the tiredness.
Have re read this and it is obviously a bit of a ramble. It might be of use to someone.
Impulse Control Disorder
No fatigue here been on it since January of this year. I find fatigue from the levedopa if I take my next dose too early or add mucuna to try to obtain longer and deeper relief.
No, I did not and presently do not find entacapone to be fatiguing. I had somewhat of the opposite effect as the neurologist tried to lower my dose of supplemental C/L tablets that I was taking. The frequency of the C/L tablets was between 2-4 tablets per day) . However, I am on a 24-hour continuous DUOPA infusion. When I was starting to experience "off" times I took the C/L tablet. He thought I was therapy he felt I was receiving toh carbidopa.
