Has anyone tried Entacapone? How do you afford it if you have a moderate income. The wealthy can afford it and the people with less money get it free.

I had to transfer my prescription from my pharmacy to another one because my previous pharmacy raised the price on it. The 2nd pharmacy was $150 cheaper. And my original pharmacy was supposedly known to be economical. But yes, it is expensive even with the cheaper price! My Uncle is 89 yrs old and he has his Dr send his prescriptions to a pharmacy in Canada, which saves him $400 a month (he's in the USA, as am I).

What pharmacy do you use. Are you in the donut hole quickly?

I moved my entacapone prescription from Walmart Pharmacy to Kroger Pharmacy. My deductible on meds is $400, so I pay so much out of pocket that I never have managed to get in the donut hole yet.

I’m lucky enough to be in the UK so have never realised it was an expensive drug.

Have you looked into Sastravi instead of Sinemet? This is basically Sinemet bundled with Entacapone in one pill and might be more cost effective. I’ve found I have less bad off times generally since switching.
