Hello all. I'm wondering if anyone is taking turkey tail mushroom? If so, why? What benefits have you felt? Thanks!
Turkey Tail mushroom: Hello all. I'm... - Cure Parkinson's
Turkey Tail mushroom
tried them in alaska.....no effect i know of.
Lions mane is good for neuro protection.
Lion's mane and reishi both have lots of proteins that include neural growth factor or its precursors. This NGF is the substance that Levi won a Nobel for discovering.
My husband takes it for his bladder cancer. Turkey tail is supposed to be anti cancer and stops reoccurrence
I have a few 'spots' on various organs that were detected last year. They haven't grown and medical providers are not concerned at this point. My mom and sister just both passed from horrible ovarian cancer. Since PwP are 7x more likely to get cancer and with my family cancer history, I've decided to start Turkey Tail. I was just curious if there were any benefits for PD. I know it helps inflammation overall. I am also starting Lion's Mane as cognitive issues are my worst PD symptom at this point.
Like cclemonade wrote, Lions mane is known for neuro protection. I take it in the morning in my coffee with mannitol.
I have been taking Turkey Tail for years and will continue to do so. Sydney Uni 'has research to show that it prevented prostate cancer in rats so that's good enough for me as I had prostate cancer 10 years ago. Nearly all mushrooms are superb. Lion's Mane is great for the brain. Agaricus Blazei boosts the immune system up to 300%. Cordyceps is an immune booster and don't forget that the Ruskies set up Lactoferrin as their response to germ warfare during the cold war.
Talking of Lion’s mane, I’ve bought the powder form for my wife for her PD but worried that it shouldn’t be taken with Rasagiline. I’ve written to both manufacturers separately but no helpful responses. Anyone know if OK to take? Grateful thanks. John
