HIIT Indoor Cycling 20-30 Minutes/3 times... - Cure Parkinson's
HIIT Indoor Cycling 20-30 Minutes/3 times weekly
I do HIIT using a treadmill. In the past I ran on a hilly path. I follow Dr Mercola's method. He first used a stationary bike but now uses an elliptical trainer. I set the treadmill to 10% grade. I walk for 10 minutes as a warmup. Then raise the speed to 8MPH. I jump on for 30 seconds sprinting then jump off for 90 seconds recovery. I do it eight times. Each sprint my heart rate reaches or exceeds the calculated maximum. (220 minus my age) Mercola recommends HIIT no more than 3 times per week. He says HIIT raises growth hormone.
Prior to pandemic, on treadmill in gym, would run .25 miles then walk .25 miles till 4 miles. Now just walking 4 miles around neighborhood. Definitely miss the running . . . but walking still has great benefits!
