Would like to know if anyone in this forum is taking Apokyn . Apokyn is used to help prevent Parkinson's symptoms during Off periods when the Sinemet has worn off.

Hi, I started taking APOKYN about a year ago and I ‘m thrilled with the results. I don’t have any warning when I’m going off, so it’s great to be able to take a shot and know

I will be back on in 10 minutes or less. I had a problem with dopamine

agonist with compulsive Gambling so I stopped taking Requip, not no such problems with APOKYN, which is also a a dopamine agonist . In our support group there are 2 or 3 people taking APOKYN, one of them takes it in the morning and at regular times during the day.. I take mine mostly between 5PM and 11M, sometimes 1 in the early afternoon. Everyone I’ve talked to loves it.

I take Apomorphine as s. c. infusion in severe off phases in a dose of 5mg per hour (via apomorphine pump). The effect is good. Usually I have a lot of pills. If the sublingual application is available in Germany, I will try it (if it is not too expensive).
