NADH - Anyone with any experience?
I'm considering the supplement from Dr. Birkmayer
40 years ago I was studying biochemistry and had to memorize complex equations such as the Krebs cycle. This occurs inside the mitochondria. Half the cells of our body are mitochondria. I memorized enough to get an A in the class but never really understood the significance. NAD is reduced to NADH 3 or 4 times in the Krebs cycle. By being reduced it GAINS hydrogen ions. See how confusing it was? The video shows someone getting an IV infusion of NADH, the reduced form of NAD which leads to L-Dopa forming in the brain. Dr Shallenberger's book on ozone says it augments the cycle at the NAD stages. So anything that adds NADH to the body can't be bad. I'm guessing.
The video shows dramatic improvement in patients but how long does the infusion last, how often can it be repeated?
I can only assume the supplements are easier to repeat....I defer to
The results shown in the video are certainly interesting. Are the over-the-counter supplements the same as the infusion?
When I googled it I only found one scientific study published in 2012 and it indicated that there was no benefit found. link.springer.com/article/1...
In his book NADH The Energizing Coenzyme, Dr. Birkmayer sites multiple studies. $7.29 + shipping on Amazon... It's a quick read - but has me intrigued....
I defer to Dr. Birkmayer - birkmayer-nadh.com/en/
I have to say the lack of knowledge, THANK YOU AND NO OFFENSE TO THOSE WHO HAVE RESPONDED, leads me to think there must be a reason for this...Big Pharma....MONEY..If NADH is all that Dr. Birkmayer portrays, someone must be working to stifle the " news ".....It doesn't make sense....Am I nuts? I'm not seeing much about NADH anywhere....Why? Nothing on MJF for instance....or Mayo, Cleveland Clinic, American Parkinsons Disease Association.....I'm just getting started....this is beginning to piss me off...has to be Money! Who wins?
You may be right. I am taking the B1 supplement that MJFF turned down the application for a study recently. I hope someone trys it and lets us know. I googled one product on Amazon and one review mentioned that it helped her husband's PD without saying how.

"After just one day and over a hundred responses, I counted 49 Yes (helps) and just 9 No’s (hoax)"
Well its been around since last century, over 30 yrs but still not a popular or widespread treatment. That must tell you something.
Oh yes (i forgot i was with Americans) it will be a conspiracy by big pharma, sure to be.
It's an over the counter supplement, what have you gotten to lose?? I will sure purchase it for my husband, never hurts to try a good supplement!
Thank you TF8Man for bringing it to our attention.
What is the name of the over the counter supplement?
Thanks
What you have to lose, Despe, is $. It’s a pretty expensive supplement, around $1 USD per capsule. Worth it, perhaps, if it works. About which I am uninformed and have no opinion.
Hello, Joe from New York!
Are you still with us? I need your valuable advice on Nicotinamide Riboside vs. NADH. My husband is taking TRUE NIAGEN (NR) and I am thinking about having him stop NR and start sublingual NADH.
Art, what say you? Thanks!!
I think the infusion is vastly more effective than oral supplements. It’s available in lots of clinics (when businesses open again). Here’s a recent study not connected to Birkmayer
I have ordered NADH from birkmayer-usa.com....I'll find out how it treats me and report back to y'all. I'm also taking a supplement from ASEA - redox signaling molecules. Both of these supplements are native to the body.....
So how did you do with NADH?
