Does it work for resting tremors?
I personally use a tremor ball, I was lucky to get one. I use it several times a day. It helps for a few hours. I think it was well worth the $$.
Do you have resting tremors
How much does it cost what's the weather like
Dear House2, thank you for sharing this super valuable info! I wanted to ask you a question, giving that you have been using the Vilim ball for a while. I'm wondering if it will benefit my husband, who's 41 and was recently diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, he's at an early stage. He has a mild tremor in his left hand, but it gets worst when he's anxious. He suffers from social anxiety, and when he goes out for walks by himself, just seeing people walking too close to him makes him anxious and then, sometimes, his whole arm starts shaking but in a weird way, mimicking the movement one makes when shifting gear in a manual transmission car. Do you think the Vilim Ball could help so he could go for walks without experiencing this issue? And also, does the Vilim Ball helps with mild hand tremor? Thank you!
Hi House2,
Could you tell me if the ball you use does a lot of noise ? My (resting) tremor is more difficult to bear when I watch TV. Do you think I could use the ball when I watch Tv?
Isn’t it too noisy ?
Tremors are my main parkinson’s symptoms. I think that I could reduce the medication I use if I could manage tremors otherwise. At least, in the evening.
Also, would you know how to get the bracelet device?
Thank you a lot.
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for sharing. How much does it cost? Do you have resting tremors or essential tremors? Thanks again for your help
Re the video: It looks like the CALA Trio and I was told by the company that it helps essential tremor but does not address tremors of Parkinsons and that if a person does not have an essential tremor diagnosis they cannot get a prescription for this device. I had been emailing them ever since I first heard about it probably somewhere between 2 and 3 years ago. This is their information: calatrio.com/
I have essential tremors too. I'm on propranolol er but it isn't managing anything. If they increase my meds it drops my heart rate low. If they lower the meds I shake more. Is the CALA Trio in the US? My doctors haven't mention this.
are the wrist devices in the market?

Does anybody have experience with an ATD(anti tremor device).
Just got off the phone with Cala Rep. They cannot publicly prescribe it for Parkinson’s. It is in the talking stage though. He did say Your Doctor can get you one if persuaded.

or use a simple TENS unit...
High frequency transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) has been widely studied and used in the treatment of nociceptive and neuropathic pain [50,51,52,53]. The use of TENS in the treatment of movement disorders, including myoclonic dystonia and ET, was first explored by Toglia and Izzo in 1985 [54]. While the exact mechanism of TENS remains unclear, putative mechanisms focus on its ability to modulate the afferent transmission of sensory information from the periphery to the central nervous system (CNS) [50]. Conventional TENS intends to selectively stimulate the large, myelinated peripheral proprioceptive A-beta (Aβ) sensory fibers [50]. The excitation of the Aβ fibers reduces the transmission of the sensory signals elicited by noxious stimulus, thereby reducing the pain perception [55,56,57,58]. These Aβ fibers carry proprioceptive sensory information into the thalamic circuits that are hypothesized to be involved in tremor generation [59]. Most [54,60,61,62,63], but not all [64], studies suggest that treatment with TENS in patients who have tremors was associated with improved muscle strength and tremor reduction.
