Thanks for sharing! I just sent an email asking to be a participant. Cycling is already my preferred type of exercise.

When I contacted them, I indicated that I am only interested in cycling and not in being part of the control group. I have absolutely no idea why anyone would consider being part of the control group.

Well, there might be some PwPs who currently do no aerobic exercise, and plan to continue to do none, but, if given 12 months free use of a Peloton bike (plus the associated Peloton infrastructure), would be prepared to do some cycling.

Hi,

I want to thank you for posting this clinical trial. Will participants be required to be off medications at the 6th and 12th months ? If I understand the article well. And,since the sampling is random, there is a chance that a participant my not be picked in the Arm or intervention group. I will be very much interested to be in the Arm or intervention group.

Q1: Yes (see "Primary Outcome Measures"). My guess is that they would do this test first thing in the morning (i.e. before first medication).

Q2: Yes (i.e. there is a 50% chance of not being in the intervention group).

Your second question has highlighted an important point. It seems to me that the ideal PwP for this trial is someone who currently does no aerobic exercise, and is willing to take the chance of having to continue to do no aerobic exercise for (at least) the next 12 months!
