I am currently making the transition from Stalevo to Rytary. It will be 3 weeks this Monday since I started the Rytary. I have 2 mail problems, 1) i get periods of extreme exhaustion. Earlier this week i slept just over 40 hours over 3 days. And 2) if i taoe toomuch Rytary i get extreme dyskinesia. Anyone else ever experienced this?

Rytari transitioning
My husband hasn't had any problems with Rytary. He switched about two years ago from
Carbidopa/ levodopa. He gets the Rytary through an assistance program with no co pay.
I had the same problem when I first started Rytary and even had to reduce my dose if I was going to be driving more than 30 minutes due to "sleep attacks". It took a few months to shake the fatigue, but now it's not a problem.
Have the exact same problem. I’m wondering if the side effects will disappear over time. It’s hard to wait that long to find out. I started it about six weeks ago and the side effects just appeared. How are you doing now? Any changes?
My dad had been on Rytary for 3 wks and had too much sleep and then other days very little sleep and definitely an increase in dyskinesia, hallucinations which caused him stress which caused him to shake and confusion. I don’t like this drug. I’ve been reading up on it and it seems like some can tolerate it and others can’t. Also seems like some had to tweak the dosage for quite some time until they could find something that works and I just feel at 87 my dad doesn’t need to go through that. So he’s back on CL 24/100 mg. Hallucinations have stopped, and his dyskinesia went away- now he’s just got the normal tremors.
YES. It's awful.
