Hello, Does anyone in the Uk buy Zandopa? We've been told to buy it, by a nutritionist, who says it gets shipped from India, which takes about 3 weeks. Does anyone have a quicker way of getting it?
Thank you

I live in the United States. I bought Zandopa through Amazon.com.
Thank you. How long did it take to be shipped, please?
I don't precisely remember. However, it was not longer than all the other items I purchased from Amazon. I did not have PRIME. I would suggest you order and then you will have an approximate time to compare.
I was the caretaker for my son who was DX with PD from 2015 to 2017.
Hello Enjoyslaud, how did the product work for Pd?
Hi, my son was re-dx in 2017...from PD to PSP. He died on May 4, 2017.
When he did use it, he was suffering from PAINFUL dystonia of the neck. He found it gentler for him.....the Sinemet caused him much distress the first hour that he would take it. The Zandopa worked until it no longer worked (nothing seems to help PSP). I would use it again for my son.
My sister is here with me this weekend.
I also bought from Amazon. I believe it shipped from India, but arrived to me in the US within 3-4 days. I was very surprised to receive it so quickly.
Is Zandopa better than Mucuna?
What is your experience with the efficacy of Zandopa?
We haven't started with Zandopa, we will let you know. We're only starting it because, in theory, it gives an exact dose for the L-dopa content.
We're currently meeting with a nutritionist and she recommeded it. My husband gets dyskinesia with mucuna, and she says that's because he takes more mucuna before he needs it. Although my husband accurately measures out the mucuna, we can't know exactly how much L-dopa is in it (it can vary from batch to batch apparently). I would like to find a lab that would test the batches of L-dopa we get from Nutrivita. We may well go back to the Mucuna after, although they are in theory the same thing....
In the UK we received the Zandopa about 5 days after ordering it.
I don't know for certain, but Zandopa has more of the whole bean in it than the nutrivita 99% L-dopa my husband was taking.
A couple of notes of enlightenment from our nutritionist is
1. Zandopa has more of the bean in it, it therefore contains the natural "carbidopa/benserizide" (which the 99% L-dopa, I believe doesn't contain).
2. She doesn't like Sinemet. She's fine with Madopar. I'm not exactly sure why, but it was interesting to hear that.
So far, however, the Zandopa hasn't lasted more than 2hrs with the dosage that my husband has been taking. He could take more of it, but then he's practically through a jar of Zandopa before 3 days are up, and that's quite alot of powder to drink...
So no particular conclusions yet, but Zandopa definitely worth trying out.
Last optimistic note is that FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE WE STARTED TAKING THE MUCUNA, (in August 2017) OUR CONSULTANT HAS ACTUALLY ACKNOWLEDGED THAT IT MIGHT WORK (although not in so many words), so something is shifting... slowly!
