This falls short of being convincing. Something is traveling up vagus nerve and it is usually claimed to be mis-folded alpha synuclein. I do not know that this is correct either, but without a reference to the study showing it is lectins I am not taking his word for it.

The premier book on lectins, by Dr. Paul Gundry, "the plant paradox" is a fraud. In that book he makes the claim that lectins travel up vagus nerve. The reference he gives to support that is a study of flatworms.
