It is made from a bearing and a piece of metal of a riding lawn mower, a spark plug , and a lug nut. The lug nut and the spark plug screw right together and just happen to be the right size for the bearing.

It represents a lot of what i have done in my life. Making something out of what i have on hand. The ability to think outside the box. And seeing the potential of people and things around me.

Something happen yesterday that made me sad and made me reflect on the job i had when i retired. My daughter works for engineering company that also does surveying. It made me relive all the times i walked along a busy highway. They had a 2 man crew working on a busy highway and the driver of a 18 wheeler dropped a cigarette and he leaned over to pick it up and left the highway and struck and killed the young surveyor (he was 33 and had 3 kids). The party chief with him watched it happen and had no way of stopping it from happening.

I had many close calls when i was out there. So please slow down when you see the signs that say someone is working along the side of the road and move over and slow down when you see flashing lights. I was almost run over helping a hit and run victim early one morning if i had not had my vest on that morning there would have been 4 more victims me and a doctor and 2 nurses were helping the man who had been hit by a truck. It was in front of a hospital and they saw what happened and ran to help. I saved their lives and mine just by wearing my vest.

Bailey, you are still saving lives. I love getting your posts as you are obviously continuing your life as a productive person of great imagination and ability. Do you remember Bob (I think) Raeborn, a Scotsman, who was active on this website?

I remember him real well. He passed away last year or the year before from an aggressive type cancer. He was very helpful.

I have a young friend, 24 years old. He was my son's (first Dx with PD and three years later with PSP...died May 4, 2017) caretaker. After my son died he decided caretaking was NOT for him. He works with CalTrans here in Calif, often on the freeways.
