This is a image showing my new garage. The parking area in the garage has two bays 15 feet wide by 60 ft long all in total we could park 7 cars. The black Corvette is mine it is a 2007 model with 60,000 miles on it. I bought it 11 years ago. It had 1500 miles on it. The red one is my son's. We built it about 10 years ago. We put a new suspension including a fiberglass rear leaf spring. It has only one leaf spring in the rear it is a transverse spring. The 2007 Corvette has 2 leaf springs one in the back and one in the front. They are transverse also. We took the top of the engine off and put a new hotter cam, aluminum heads, aluminum intake a holley double pumper spread bore carb a new water pump, chromed alternator, new larger radiator, electric cooling fan and new headers on the red one i is a 19790 model. . We also install all new power steering parts. It is almost as fast as the 2007 but sounds so good when we crank it up. The entire house and garage shakes when we run it up. That is my 2003 Tahoe. It will be the first car we put on our new lift when we have it installed. We are going to install new brakes and suspension parts as needed. It has over 200,000 miles on it and the brakes have never been change. The stairs lead up to a 2000 square foot loft which consist of 500 square feet of storage and about 1500 square ft to be used as a party room and quest room. My son is going to be in charge of building the walls and putting any furniture up there. My wife does not want to have anything o do with it. We built this barndominum to down size. Our living area is about 1100 square ft including a great room, kitchen, dining room combination (16 ft by 37 ft) a bed room (16 by 16) a 16 ft by 5 ft bath room with a 5 ft by 5 ft shower and a 6 ft by 21 ft closet utility combination all ceilings are 10 ft high. If we use the upstairs we would have more space than we had before we moved. My brother gave me his 1975 1300 cc drag motor cycle. i am going to hang it from the ceiling including the wheelie bars. It has been run in 25 years and i may crank it up before i hang it just say i did. I rode it a couple of times. I turned a 9.5 second 150 mph 1/4 mile time. The best it ever went was a 8.9 second 160 mph 1/4 mile. My brother also cut 3 perfect lights in one night on it. This means when the green light came on to start the race he took off exactly when the light came on. Very few people ever cut a perfect light let alone 3 in one night. A good reaction tin is about .03 seconds. I know i am being long winded tonight i just need to keep busy i am feeling a little antsy. If you look on the left side of the image you can see the two 2 ton ac units. You can only see about 6 inches of one of them it is at the top of the plywood above the black corvette and the other one is next to the aluminium ladder. They are called ductless units. There is also one upstairs. In all we have 8.5 tons of heat and air conditioning. The building is so well insulated it will only cost us about $300 month on average to heat and cool the entire 3000 square building. The garage doors are insulated and sealed so they have little impact on the ac. We also added about 2000 square ft of concrete parking. This is something i have wanted for 40 years and for it to happen now while i still can enjoy it is so great it is a truly a dream come true. I will post more pictures in the next few days. Thanks for reading all of this.

Very cool!!
How does your unit get natural light? Are there windows ?
I have no windows in the shop or upstairs and there are only 6 windows in the living area by design. We did this to reduce heat loss to a minimum. Four of the windows are 3 feet by 6 ft 1 window is 6 ft by 6 ft and 1 window is 3 ft by 4 ft.
Wow! You sure have accomplished a lot, and it all looks great! Congratulations! You are quite the inspiration!
Talk about aging in place?! Incredible, creative design and lovely interior. May you and your dear wife live long and prosper!
I remember your black corvette. I like the photos of you house more.
Bailey, you are amazing. How many people without PD could have done what you have done? Congratulations over and over.
Forgive my ignorance but wondering whether, in Texas, you are can really put your heating system to the test. Here, in South Africa, we are sweltering.🙂
Gosh, that makes my heart happy! Hope it brings you immense joy!
Wow, I can fit my whole house in there, lol. Great space and great job, enjoy!
