I have not written in a long time thought i would let every one know what i am up to. We sold our home of 32 years moved in with our son and we are building a barndominium on my son's land. It has 3000 square ft under roof. 1000 sq ft of living area and a 2000 sq ft work shop/party room/what ever you you want to do room. The ceiling is 25 ft tall in the shop It will have a lift to work on cars. It will be a complete shop with tools to do any thing on a car or truck and a wood working shop also. The whole thing will air conditioned and heated.
A barndominium if you don't know is a house built inside metal building.

Pictures please. We need updates showing your progress at least twice a week but every other day would be better . No people, just the Barnzarama thing. What is the Sq ft design load of the steel building . Probably no snow load , any live load or wind load allowed for ?

It took 7 experienced men 5 hours of non stop work to pour the drive and foundation. I could not do it when i was 20. 90 yards of cement.
They ran a motorized trowel on it from 7 pm to 10 am the next morning. It just would not dry enough for them to finish it. My job was to feed the fire so they could keep warm. I used 30 1 foot by 3 ft longs to keep it going. It dropped to 22 degrees but nothing froze.
What state? I did heavy construction for 20 years ago I know exactly what you're talking about. Glad everything worked out. That's alot of concrete. I once worked on pouring the second floor for the Amazon warehouse in Carteret NJ, 800 yards a day for 30 days 😐. Its fun to watch. You had some good guys, that they stayed in it 👍
Yes 11 am should have been 6 am. Building delivers Tuesday. Building complete by the December 1st. Garage doors and insulation by Dec. 7th. Finished and move in by
