I have been taking the drug for three years and recently a lot of off modes and situations that the pill does not affect. The doctor recommended trying to switch to a ball and a half or try a dopecker. Did anyone make such a move and succeed?

First, check to see if they changed the manufacturer. Mine changed & it made a huge difference, and it was the generic that worked the best.
I would love to know what it dopecker is.
Well Enidah, of course ,we all would like to know more about dopecker. I am very pleased that you are still here with us. How goes your battle. We can talk because laglag has already nailed it.

Yes, I'm still here GB, plugging away, accepting accepting accepting. I love to work out but as I get older my joints tendons ligaments meniscus, the whole damn crew complain too much. That is this week's gripe. Finding the balance, always a challenge.
I'm always happy when I see post from the people that have been here for a long time. I think I've been on this site for at least five years, five and a half. People disappear and I wonder how they're doing. Good to hear from you.

I am 11 years and on a similar regime. I would suggest your problem is long acting sinemet which I think you are taking. It can take an hour or more to work and sometimes doesnt work. I combine mine with a short acting sinemet. I take my meds 7 am 10 am 2 pm and 6 pm.
You could try adding sinemet 62.5 or 125 short acting to your regime. The madopar (levadopa) dissolvable is also good.
If that doesnt work ask your doctor about entacopone or amantadine. They may help.
