Can you take Mucana while taking Carbidopa/Levedopa meds 25-100 mugs. 3 times a day? Also taking Tamsulosin.4 mugs. 1 time per day.

I take the same pill you do and I also take B1 and am working with Dr. Nishal and taking Mucuna as he directs. Seem to be doing ok no interactions that I know of. It is wise to find a doctor who is familiar with Mucuna. I used to take the Mucuna capsules before from the health food shop before I talked to the Doctor. Hope this is helpful.

WWE are in New Zealand and mucuna pruriens is a swear word with Parkinson specialists .. well actually they say they never heard if it,... yeah right... would love to find a health professional who us open to alternatives to sinimet and other pharmacy meds as parky progresses

I take same meds. Occasionally take a Mucuna in between C/L when I feel off. No problems... seems to help.

Mucuna pruriens has a certain amount of ldopa in it. It will say something like 40% ldopa or 99.6% ldopa. So sinemet and Mucuna pruriens should not be taken together because doing that increases the amount of dopamine your receiving. I take sinemet occasionally but never together with Mucuna 99.6% from nutrivita which is what I use on a regular basis.
