Is Ropinirole Thiamine HCI?

I saw Hydrochloride on my Ropinirole med. I have been taking this med for a while but only just noticed now that it is HCI

No. The only thing they have in common is they both go in your mouth. Ropinrole is a pharmaceutical and a dopamine agonist and thiamine is a vitamin, found throughout mother nature -- in all kinds of foods.

Hmmm..., ok, I'm a med noob... so just wondering why that they are both mainly Hydrochloride isn't also a common thing

Most drugs have HCL behind the name. It refers to the form the drug is in, usually enhancing bioavailability.

The HCL designation something like the difference between salted and unsalted butter. The product is still mostly butter.

The HCl (hydrochloride) is just a salt of the thiamine or ropinirole, nothing to worry about
