Entacapon(comtan)

My neurologist prescribed Entacapon for me in order to prolong my sinemet effectiveness. Unfortunately it causes sleeplessness for me and that was at a very low dose just starting to take it. I have mixed feelings about this because I really do not like starting any new meds. I want to keep them to a minimum.

Just curious about anybody else's experience with this medication.

Helpful? Side effects?....

Thank you!

My neuro mentioned the same thing last visit. I have the same thoughts/questions. I told her I wanted to wait awhile.

I looked back at some old post on this topic and there have been a lot of side effects that prevented people from taking comtan. It's crazy how we all get such different side effects too.
