I spoke to my pd nurse and she confirmed heat makes our symptoms worse. i tend to take an extra med to get me through worst, also try to go to somewhere like a cafe or shopping centre with aircon for a couple of hours so your body can cool down for while.

The obvious conclusion here is that everyone reacts differently with PD and as how it reacts to extreme temperature changes. I react negatively to both. Cold temperatures make me so stiff that it's difficult to move.....heat gives me drenching sweats and nausea followed by exhaustion.

It might be that older people have a harder time cooling off since they don’t sweat much. Cooling off requires energy and PDers have a shortage of that.

Any kind of discomfort or stress exaserbates your pd symptoms . If you like heat or cold it does not stress you so it likely won't affect you . That applies to most things and explains why some things seem to help certain people with PD and others it makes feel worse.
