How to take B1
Intramuscular injection is more precise but not very convenient, oral is convenient provided you take the dose that is appropriate to you.
I personally think that, taken orally, the flow of thiamine hcl in the blood is also more constant than an IM injection per week. It is not he opinion of Dr COSTANTINI - as far as I know.
Not consenus. My observation and experience. Start at 1.5 grams day. Observe effect on symptoms over 30 days. If some symptoms remain titrate up to 2.5 g per day. Observe for 30 days. If some symptoms remain titrate up to 4 g day. Observe for 30 days. By this time all (exclude tremor) symptoms are expected to be suppressed. If you again titrate up, expect some return of some symptoms.
My experience. Sent Doc list of supplement/thiamin that I was taking with moderate success. He advised, 4g daily of thiamin HCI. I had great results at that dose. Thinking to improve tremor, I chose to migrate up by steps to 6g day. Symptoms returned. I moved to 2g day, still symptoms not right. I returned 4g daily plus my cr C/L and all is peachy keen.
How should I take it? Time, empty stomach ect. Thanks
Dr Costantini’s advice to me was with empty stomach morning and noon
How many mg is 1.5 grams,
I asked Dr Costantini about coffee / caffeine with B1. His reply was avoid caffeine as best as you can. 1 cup of coffee an hour to an hour and a half before your first dose probably won't hurt anything.
