What is the best time to take B1

Hi

What is the best time to take thiamine? I am 64 years old female, 148 lb take 9AM 500mg and 12PM 500mg. I have PD about 10 years but was diagnosed in 2012.

hi luba well im 72,, well 9 am is a good time 2 start in the morning i take 2 grams in the morning 2 grams at 6 pm i take the powder thiamine as you can put it in a small glass of water or fruit drink and swallow it quickly as it tastes yucky if 500 mg dont help put it up to 1 gram in the morning 1 gram at night.also try mannitol .read up on it.regards.

hi luba yes i have improvments doing what i do but i exercise alot as well i take my meds as well 4 madopar pills a day as well 200/50.but every one is different.keep trying exercise most days if you can ..i play music every day keeps my feet moving keep on pushing your self every day luba.regards.heres some music to keep your feet moving hope you like .

I would recommend that you work on email with Dr C who has so much experience with B1 and will help to find the right dose for you, the one which will trigger improvements. It is unusual to take it later than lunchtime in case it disturbs sleep.

I am able to tolerate .8 g of thiamine before bed without interfering with my sleep. More than that does interfere, however.

hi luba well 9 am is a good time, well i would leave it to 6 pm for your second time. if i were you i would take it up a bit more 1000mg in the morning and 1000mg at 6pm see what happens after a few months time if nothing happens take it up to 1500mg. have you thought about mannitol it can help as well you can have a read about it on google.hope this helps.regards.
