There is a ray of hope there. His first (?) publication about Parkinson's and the microbiome was compelling.

I know they do fecal transplants in cases of C-difficile, wonder if it would apply to people with Parkinsons, ie give them a whole new microbiome from someone without PD.

It's early days yet for the use of FMT in Parkinson's disease. There is a trial related to this in Texas that should (hopefully) be starting soon.
