to Kokolu...Yes,yes, yes....sorry to say. I have a great deal of stiffness in my back . The muscles up and down my spine can become hardened and very stiffening. Usually the meds help some. But I find that stretching can help too. I use moist heat at the end of the day.
Accupuncture with massage was helpful , however only for a brief time. the expense wasn't worth it for me.
I wish you well!
I also have stiffness in my back and get pain and cramps in both legs. I find exercise, especially walking, and not sitting for too long helps somewhat.
My husband has a lot of low back pain. So far he is handling it with a pain pill and icing. We are going to get more medical advice soon. No one should be in this much pain.
To Parkinsonspouse,
I suffer daily with pain. When I go to bed at night it worsens. If I am lucky enough to actually fall asleep I am awakened by the extremely uncomfortable pain in my back. I am forced to get out of bed and move about, ultimately ending up on the couch in an attempt at some sort of restful sleep.
I am curious to know what pain medication is helpful to your husband as massive doses of ibuprofen and other otc (over the counter) drugs are of no help. nor can it be good for anyone to take these otc meds so much.
