I have read so many posts and articles on these 2 supplements that I think and hope I could benefit from them. But when i go on Amazon or gooogle there are so many choices.
I have read that PWP benefit from 1200 mg of CoQ10 but i dont see any near that amount. i think organic would be the way to go.
NAC- I have read we need 600mg.
I had a full blood analysis done this summer and it say i was deficient in CoQ10 and all the B vit.
If anyne has advice on a brand, i would be very grateful.

They tested 13 versions of NAC all of which passed.
They test for accurate potency and also time to disperse.
The point is that almost all supplements have what they say they have, If you stick with major brands you should be ok. If you want me to check a specific name I can do so.

Many people on this site note that 5 mg of methylcobalamin/B12 is a high dose but I have been taking that much for 5+ years with no side effects other than improved energy levels. My point is you can safely take larger than standard doses or you can pick and choose which B vitamins you want to take (in addition a B complex supplement). Say you wanted to take a B complex vitamin and try high dose thiamine therapy, you can do that.
CoQ10 comes in many forms and the reduced form is called ubiquinol. Standard high dose CoQ10 is called ubiquinone. Ubiquinone was used in the 1,200 mg study and this form is oxidized. Of the two forms ubiquinol is better for someone over the age of 40. The body converts ubiquinone to ubiquinol when needed but, with advanced age, the conversion process may be less efficient. So you may have to experiment which form is best for you. I have tried ubiquinone, ubiquinol and PQQ and could feel no difference between the three so I take the cheapest form: ubiquinone. Ubiquinol is more expensive but the dose is lower. Rather than taking 1,200 mg/day, high dose ubiquinone, 100 mg of ubiquinol (three times a day) is considered high dose (300 mg/day). When I stated I could feel no difference between ubiquinone, ubiquinol and PQQ, I meant that all three have given me excellent results with a caveat - I must take them with a high potency DHA fish oil supplement. When I take either fish oil or coq10 alone the effect vanishes.

Everyone's body is different and what is the best dose for one person may not be the same for another. Fish oil thins the blood so if you are on blood thinners (Warfarin) you cannot take it. Otherwise the maximum daily dose (a blood test is required) is 7,100 mg/day. I have safely taken 1,200 ubiquinone/day with 2,700 mg/day of fish oil for the last 5 years with no negative side effects. I know I have to take a brand of fish oil with high DHA omega 3 content because I ran out and substituted an brand of fish oil with 1,000 mg per gel cap but it was low in DHA omega 3 and the synergy between coq10 and fish oil ended. I started to feel worse and when I added high DHA fish oil, I felt fine.

you have been immensely helpful. I hope you dont mind but i have a few quick questions.
If I purchase ubiquinol 100mg (Doctors best - without the fish oil ) and i take it with my omega fish oil supplement (EPA 650mg , DHA 450mg, 130 other omega 3s AND D3 1,000mg (2 capsules)
1. Do i take 3 ubiquinol pills spilt up during the day? ex: 2 with breakfast and 1 with lunch(along w a fishoil supp).
2. does my EPA and DHA quantities seem adequate to you? my brain has been a foggy mess for about two-three weeks so i increased my omegas to 3 capsules . not feeling any better.. think it is because my doctor had me increase my dose of C/L from 3 pills per day to 4 pills/day. .
3. Did you actually feel any changes on these supplements?
