Did DBS surgery work?

I had my DBS surgery about three years ago and I would say that it turned out very well. One thing to note is that the amount of improvements will differ with each person. I had no complications with the surgery. The PD symptoms improvements are mainly associated with movement. It will not help in things like depression. It is definitely not a cure. It did reduce the amount of daily medication I needed.

DBS procedure has helped me a lot and I am glad I went through with it.

Great! Love it! Should have done it sooner! My symptoms were: tremor, bradykinesia (slow movement), and dyskinesia (involuntary movement)

I’d probably be in a wheelchair if I had not received it 3 1/2 years ago.
