Thought I would share. My wife bought me the new Peloton spinning bike as a Christmas gift, it was really something she wanted lol. Ive been exercising for years and have tried dozens of workout machines but I have to tell you this is the most well designed and fully interactive machine ever and what a work out it gives.....it’s just amazing. The downside is the cost....very expensive but if your really into working out it’s worth the cost! It also allows me to stay in the warm house instead of getting dressed and driving to the gym on these fridgid mornings it’s -3 degrees Fahrenheit this morning.

I treated myself to a lurid pink Davina Mccall stationary bike, second hand for £45 off the net. My wife wasn't particularly happy. But it does the job. I aim to mainline breaking bad whilst pedalling the contraption next year.
I have a stationery bike in my conservatory along with some weights, a mat, step and exercise ball. Very useful but...I find I need to go to the gym for motivation.
I still go to the gym 3 days per week for the weights. This bike has a 21 inch screen attached and you actually spin with other folks via the internet live! It shows how how you are competing against the others as you follow a program administered by a live instructor who occasionally interacts with you directly. A very cool device but expensive. I’ve done (4) 30 minute program so far.......what a work out!!
As I said very expensive! All in $4,000 that includes the bike all necessary equipment I.e special clip in cycling shoes, Heart monitors, head phones, special water bottles and 3 years to the online workout sessions. All for $105/month zero % financing for 39 months. In my opinion if used regularly money well spent..
I have the Kaiser MP3i bike and have used it for more than 2 years every other day except if out of town. It cost $2000 but has paid for itself now. I really like it. It looks a lot like the Peloton. I have a TV to watch while cycling and overhead ceiling fans that are also lights. I cycle 45 minutes at 80-90 rpms and now have it set at #6 tension.
Ah. I'm a bit of a solitary animal...I don't do classes etc. I'm pretty rubbish so I don't like comparing myself I get a bit despondent! I went to a yoga class for people with injuries, illnesses etc., and I was completely the worst in the class!
I had an embarrassing incident happen to me last winter when I took my first heated yoga class. I purposely set up at the back of the class room because all the other people looked like experts and didn’t want to bring too much attention to my poor balance and of course told the instructor I had PD. Half way through the class I lost my balance during one of the poses and fell over one of the heaters and nearly broke my neck! Everyone turned around and there I was on my back and the total focus was on me......something I didn’t want. I no longer attend formal yoga classes!
Find Gentle Yoga classes with experienced teachers. Talk to the teacher first to make sure they have experience with people who have different physical issues and have adaptive equipment, chairs, blocks, etc. Be proactive for yourself.You are interviewing them to make sure they meet your needs. I would not recommend heated yoga classes. No more embarrassing situations. Know before you go. Might even ask to observe a class to see if if it’s something you are comfortable with.
In yoga there is no worst. Everyone works at their own pace. Yoga is not a competition. The more you do it the better you get at it through time. No rush. Talk to the instructor about your concern. Work together. 🧘🏼♀️
