I go to a chiropractor once a month & he really helps me. He doesn't "crack your bones", it's more of a deep massage.

Something to try, don't know if it's going to work. Are you taking magnesium? You could also try a nice hot bath with lots of Epsom salts and see if that helps. So sorry.

I;d strongly recommend magnesium . Epsom salt baths and a supplement - mag citrate may work for you. I take 500mg (no PD). And eat enough potassium rich veg too,

I have the dystonia in my upper back. I know how painful that is. The only thing that really helps me is to take sinemet. Are you getting enough of your meds? Also, sometimes lying flat on my back helps. Good luck!

Sauna try simple stretches after your muscles are warm: raise your arms above your head roll your shoulders things like that. If you do not have access to a sauna try heating pad . Bananas also include magnesium. Yoga. I'm a big believer in exercise and stretching when you are warm. I've had Parkinson's 15 years.

Magnesium - could really help. Our soils are depleted and around 80% of us are deficient in magnesium, so many doctors say. It is a water soluble, the reserves in our body are low, and not accurately measured in blood tests. I have experimented on myself (I have very clear magnesium deficiency signs, which include muscle spasms) and found that I could no make it up with food. It is the one thing I would supplement. Bananas, banana peel tea, banana peel used in curries, pumpkin seeds, will help.

I have a neuromuscular disease along with my PD. The muscle disease causes severe cramping and spasms all the time. When things get real bad I use a TENS unit, 4 pads with electrodes attached and run by a battery. The TENS unit sort of short circuits your pain nerve and will help with the spasms and cramps. You can buy a TENS unit on Ebay. They run about $20. to $25.00.

Hope you're feeling better soon.
