THANK YOU IAN !!!! I to experience short term ability, every once in a great while, to smell. I sometimes think its an asset.

" Man, that garbage stinks. You should take it out." It smells fine to me.

" The dog stinks, she needs a bath." Ok but she dos not bother me.

I like your organized approach to UPDATES on VLOGS and numbering w Descriptive TITLES.

So: Mannitoll doesn't seem to do much that you can identify but it is making an impact: where does one purchase a good quality product and please state the dosage again please. CONGRATS on smelling the "good things" IAN.

And Coconut Oil-ugh is so hard to tolerate. I need /will be better about integrating it in my nutritional habits. I've read 3-8T /d for medicinal or clinical purposes. Are you able to simply add it as you go throughout the day (we don't cook much, so using it in smoothies, on toast and maybe in salad dressing will be my method. Can't imagine it stirs well in Yogurt!

I just googled Mannitol, and found a health food wholesaler in the UK that stocked it. I take 1 tablespoonful per day, but started off with 1 teaspoonful - it can give you gas and abdominal discomfort and may have a laxative effect, so start low and build up slowly.

This is the video that I saw originally - youtu.be/0MfO3WySZ_4

I think you can take coconut oil throughout the day, so spreading the dosage out a little. I actually find it quite palatable, and it tastes great on toast instead of butter. It may be difficult in a salad dressing because it is solid at room temp. Try putting it in mashed potato and over vegetables. Some people stir it into their coffee, but I find it works well in my green smoothie!

Cheers,

Ian

Ok on all above - and I put COil in coffee too and folded it into my yogurt since it's semi soft at my house at "room temperature" which is 78 degrees Fahrenheit or higher when I can get away with it ;) hypothyroid=chills

Are you still smoking CBD w THC to remain functional, IAN? If so, may I ask, what is your "maintenance dose" and for how long does the positive effect last. My husband is finally getting interested in this stuff, thanks to your willingness and efforts to share your story online with such honesty and frank personal assessment.

I still vape cannabis most days, so that's a yes to CBD and THC. I find that 3 or 4 hits on my vaporiser (which holds about 30mg of cannabis in plant form) gives me relief for about 4 hours - I tend to use it in the evening an hour or so before bed, and it helps me get off to sleep. I have used some CBD products (without THC) with some success, but find that cannabis is more effective and much cheaper!

Cheers,

Ian

Thanks for the video. Returning sense of smell is a good sign. BTW, if a remedy stops the Parkinson' (dopamine-producing neurons stop dying), it would not necessarily improve PD symptoms immediately, but probably in years. Fighting the PD and fighting the symptoms are two different stories. I think.

" Fighting the PD and fighting the symptoms are two different stories."

You have a point there, Pachikov.

Ian, if you are up to experimentation, let me know if you infused the cannabis with coconut oil and say mixed it in with your morning coffee, does it last all day like it does me? I do not know the concentration you take but I bet you do. I take 35 mg each with coffee and I start to feel the effects after 3 hours and then I am good until bed time.

Next time I make some cannabutter, I'll make it with coconut oil and give it a go. I imagine it's similar to having an edible - I've made chocolate brownies using cannabutter before, and they take about an hour to take effect and have lasted about 6 hours for me.

Cheers,

Ian
