Why I don't have tremors or heavy stiffness when I wake up in the morning until I get Levodopa-Carbi pills? Same when L-dopa is going down, but an hour after that I have no tremors. Been with PD 15 yrs.

NO TREMOR OR STIFFNESS AT A.M.
I think it is time to get on your knees and thank the good Lord above. It takes me a good hour in the morning until I am ready to do anything.
Hi, Serenity. How are you doing otherwise?
I have been having a good couple of weeks since I discovered toast. I actually bowled 171 _123 and then an 84. It was nice to finally bowl and get a pre Parkie score. I have been lucky to even break a hundred in the last 7 years.🎳🏆
I experience similar behaviour: sometimes in the morning I can go drug free for several hours while performing at approximately 70% of my best when on levodopa, which is in turn about 70% of normal. (The estimates are based on my side-to-side tap test scores.)

I put it down to some dopamine production continuing and some dopamine reservoirs continuing to be available. Also to consider is the role of dopamine agonists, they have a longer half-life than levodopa (whose half-life is about 90 minutes), which means that some of their benefit may continue overnight,

HOW MUCH DO U TAKE
Dear Kiko when you first awaken and you feel alright with no stiffness, you don't need to take your medication. So, I suggest to not take your medication until you need it. Even after 15 years!? You must be sleeping well and still benefiting from your brain cells dopamine production naturally during the night. Just to be thorough I have to ask how many hours do you sleep and if you take something to assist you to sleep, what do you take? It may be of benefit to others to do what you are doing. You seem to be doing well, at least more than some of us.
I use benadryl 50 pill to sleep. When I don't use it the next morning i cant walk some easy. Also eat a bit of red pepper for regular use of pills.
Thank you so much Kiko. You benefit from antihistamine, Benadryl, for a restorative sleep. I too take Benadryl, if I need help to sleep. I haven't taken a 50 mg dose, just 4 or 5 ml liquid children's formula. I have to awaken easily to care for an invalid spouse at night, otherwise I would take more Benadryl. Benadryl helps us to have a good night. Thank you for sharing and I hope that you find an improved schedule for taking your prescription C/L.
Thanks for asking this question. I literally logged on this morning to enquire the exact same thing. It's perplexing in that I too am fine when I wake after 15 hours of taking no pill. I am actually able to go to the gym and I don't take my sinemet until I am leaving for work after - then I see more tremor. I think the answer someone offered about dopamine production while asleep makes sense. Making it but not using it. I'm going to ask my neurologist. Let's be positive!
Surgeon's explanation???
After a good night's sleep, your intrinsic dopamine is at its best. You get up, take your meds, face your daily challenges.... and your intrinsic dopamine quickly wears off... or been rendered inactive by exogenous meds...
we are all different
