Good news and bad news.Senior PD Refugees.

We finally have a date for seating clinic on Tues Dec. 6th. he he will not be cut back. I loose My two hour a week housekeeping. We have to pay for those. Than The agency we contract our self managed care with has notified us that due to labor law we will have to pay for three hours for one hour shift to put Ron to bed at night. This is crazy because that is the nature of the job. I think the problem is that they have hired a person just for us. It is a small agency I love dealing with them . I think I will need to to go with the large agency for the one hour evening shifts. They put most of our town to bed. I am hoping I can mix and match these services. Hope I have not opened a whole new can of worms. We are walking a fine line. I feels like we are always avoiding entrapment. Yet we are doing nothing wrong. just fighting to get services we need to stay in our own home. We are among the thousands of senior refugees who can't get enough help to stay in our own home and there is no place we can go and stay together. I am physically and mental exhausted. God help those who do not have a voice . This is deplorable. hugs all .Pardon my rant. lost the battle not the wAR.

Sounds exhausting. I hope you get a good care giver to give you some help. It is such a shame that there are never places for couples with different level of care needs to go to.
