Low dose Naltrexone there's a wealth of information on internet, it makes you feel a lot better boosting your endorphins. The article above can be used as a springboard to do research and get more information. I have been taking it for over a year and it does make a difference with pain and the happiness level. I bought mine not coated tablets from a Canadian pharmacy. I dissolve my tablet in water and use a dosing syringe for 3mg per Day. Please read all the drug interactions and use accordingly.

My husband took LDN for 3 months earlier this year. We were pinning our hopes on it (mainly to assist with his gait), unfortunately he was one of the very rare cases where it did not agree with him. it actually seemed to cause depression and began to have stomach cramps. He stopped taking LDN and these symptoms went away. As we know, everyone with this awful disease is very different. What works for one doesn't work for another.

Silvestrov has quite a few good suggestions re supplements which he finds helpful for depression and to uplift mood. Well worth checking his past posts.

I have not found a natural or home remedy for depression. I've suffered from it for many years. The various anti-depressants mitigated it somewhat and I've been on so many different ones continuously increasing the dosage. As soon as I got onto Sinemet which provides the missing dopamine that PWP have I became actually happy. It's been almost 3 months now. I haven't been happy for this long in at least a decade. I am so very grateful. My doctor said that the serotonin needs the dopamine to work. I have been able to cut my anti-depressants dosage in half and I'm doing really well.

People have said or written to me rather that this couldn't work due to when taken orally it cannot cross the blood-brain barrier. However, when I get blue I add some GABA to my handful of stuff I already take and I get lifted a bit.

The best way to battle depression is to retire from a job you hate. I am riding cloud 9 right now.

Hi Blackfeather. The best remedy for depression is EXERCISE! You might not think that you are capable of doing exercise but most Pd patients are capable of doing so. If you are unable to walk properly, I can help you, very easily, with that. visit my website - reverseparkinsons.net and see over 400 articles on how to deal with Pd. You can contact me and I will answer any questions you like, at no cost to yourself.
