Niacin catch 22
An interesting article - thanks Bitsy
??? Not able to digest the scientific language. I referred the hyperlink to the article to my Neurologist who suggested that I try cutting out taking my regular 1G Inositol Hexanicotinate (LDL theapy) to see if I notice a difference in my PD symptoms. Haven't noticed anything yet. But it's only been a few days. Will let you know Bitsy.
Very interesting. My husband in an under-methylator and I always assumed because he didn't detoxify toxins well that might have been a contributor to him developing PD. Ultimately, health is determined by the body's ability to constantly move towards balance. The article alludes to some variable factors from hereditary traits to intake of nutrients and chemicals like nicotine and caffeine but results seem to vary too much for me to consider making changes in his diet and supplements based on the assumptions made.
Would be interesting to follow further research. Thanks for posting Bitsy!
I think the message is not to exceed your daily recommended value with multi vitamins, fortified breads/cereals and too much protein - fish (tuna), lamb, chicken, beef, pork. All the best.

Can you help me understand the gist of the article? It's confusing to me. Should PD sufferers take NADH?
Hi Akrow, I think you need to ask your neurologist. Cheers Bitsy
