Hi I was in the health food shop and they gave me a leaflet on CBD. Said it was legal and would help many things including pd. Its expensive, $100 per oz and you put drops under the tongue. I would llike to know more but don't know who to go to. Anyone else tried CBD?

CBD
Is there a complete name for this? Is it an oil? Will try to research and get back to you.
Just did a quick search. It is cannabis oil. I have not read any scientific research on its use in PD. It is definitely something to discuss with your neuro. Items such as this are not regulated by the FDA so you are not guaranteed its purity or strength which can far from bottle to bottle. If you live in a State that allows medical marijuana, you would need a prescription for it.
I went to the website but could not find what I was looking for in studies proving/examining its uses in PD. I contacted them for more info. Will let you know what I determine. We all want a cure or better treatment for PD but it is best to research legitimate sources before buying and using it with out proper knowledge.
It didn't work to any significant degree for me, but some folks get tremendous relief. $100 is pretty steep! I can't remember what I paid but it was nowhere near that much. I go to a place called the Apothecarium in San Francisco. The folks there are knowledgeable but you can find a lot of good solid information online. YouTube has some documentaries and short clips that are worth watching too.
