How much is the DBS surgery cost?

$100,00 for the procedure only in the US for both sides...at Univ. of VA where I will have it in January.

Mine was a $5.00 short of $61,000 usd. I'm part of a clinical trial so the device and probes were provided at no cost. The device cost about $30,000.00 added to the $61,000.00. So about $90,000.00.

DocMcgyver, Sorry but this is a question to DocMcgyver & not a reply to Hopet. I'm considering DBS in SLC Utah. How long ago did you have it done? You said it was experimental, have there been advancements, improvements done? Would you do it again?

I've had the device for just over one year and I love it. The procedure is not experimental. The device I had installed is a new, rechargeable, device, so it is a clinical trial. I had it done at the University of Utah Hospital. Yes, I would do it again.
