Hi I was taking amantadine twice a day it it caused me heartburn too after 10 or 15 minutes and also a rash on my arms and legs. I have cut down to 1 a day and the rash has almost gone but I still get heartburn and I cannot say that I have found taking 1 a day instead of 2 has made my symptoms any worse.

I've taken Amantadine for seven years (dx 11 years) with no problems at all. It works well with Sinemet and Azilect. I have always believed that Amantadine is effective against the onset of Dyskinesia (I have none) and recent research has proven this to be true

Sorry, I should have added that I take my first one in my first cocktail of the day at 10.00 and my second with my second cocktail at 14.00. I did enquire about taking a third at 18.00 because I "dip" in the evening but was persuaded that the impact on my sleep would render any improvement in my dip negatively

I have been prescribed it for tremor because a small dose of sinemet made my tremor worse. have not started it yet

I also just started amantadine 2 daily. I think it has helped control my dystonia and dyskinesia. There are other effects. I feel like a bad hangover with headache and letheragy. Hopefully this goes away.

I have been taking amantadine for about 4 years now. I take 3 per day. I find it works well with sinemet.

You have to take them on full stomach with alot of water. I Had throat irritation because I took on empty stomach I went down to half in the morning and half after lunch. Never after 4 o'clock. I use 3dopa mucuna

I have been taking Amantadine for approximately 12 years. I used to get heartburn but now I eat something before I take it and wash the meds. down with a glass of milk. I was told by Pharmacist that milk protein will not interfere with uptake /delivery to brain.

My leg rashes are caused by the Requip I also take.
