Anyone know the side effects of Azilect, besides possible mania, if there is a history, which I have..but what other side effects noted.

I would add nausea, in my case severe.

Been on Azilect for five years with no noticeable complications , 56 yrs old , exercise every day for 60 min and watch my diet. Good luck

Hi Janellan. Yes, the one side effect I had was severely raised blood pressure. Don't stop taking it because of that. You must be aware of it. It is caused by raised levels of tyramine in the body. If it affects you in this way, look up on Google to see what foods have high tyramine levels and then avoid them. The biggest culprits are: warmed-up food, over-ripe fruit and mature cheese. There are many other foods to avoid but it is not a train-smash.
