What is the best ways to include coconut oil in my diet. How do you melt it for a smoothie

I put two tablespoons in a hot liquid like coffee or tea or put it in plain hot water and mix in some juice concentrate. You can also use it in cooking and baking in place of other oils or butter. I don't know how to make a smoothie with it. Maybe you could make one without using ice just room temperature water.You'd have to experiment until you got it right. Good luck.

Not sure Coconut oil would work with a cold Smoothie.

But you could be adventurous and invent some warm or hot smoothies.

You you have asked two questions; I will give separate answers.

1. For a best way, it really depends on how much you are trying to take. 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon per day, just mix it into hot cereal hot rice – potatoes etc. For larger amounts, there are lots of recipes scattered through responses to various Posts. 2. I shall assume that you and I are using the same notion of a "smoothie". For me it is a cold ice and juice and maybe fruit drink made in a blender. The answer is yes but it is a little tricky.

The issue is that the coconut oil will quickly turn hard in the icy water and if you blend it when it is hard it turns out sort of like rice. What I do is prepare everything else in the blender. Then I melt the coconut oil in some very hot water, only a rather small amount of water (2T CO in 1/4 cup). I pour this into my blender mixture and IMMEDIATELY turn on the blender. If I am quick about it then the mixture is made before the coconut oil solidifies. I have had good luck with this approach

I would warm it up to melt it and don't add ice to the smoothie. Drinking icy smoothies is really hard on digestion anyway, much better to have it at room temperature.

I put it in my oatmeal,and rice...use warm.

I mix my oil with organic honey, an organic egg ( raise my own) I blend this with my immersion blender. The speed of the blades is enough to totally incorporate the oil. I then add organic whey, a variety of fruit, and either coconut or almond milk and again blend to the right consistency. I neglected to say that much of the fruit I use is frozen (banana, peachhes, blueberries, etc, so the consistency is like a milk shake. Full natural, healthy meal .replacement. I also add a tablespoon of oil to my morning tea or coffee. Last night I baked a yam and used coconut oil in place of butter,

My daughter told me if you want to add a nut butter to put it on the blades and it blends better, she uses a regular blender, but it might work with a immersion blender.

I often add almond butter.I have a Vita Mix blender which works great,but the immersion is handier unless I'm making them for my grandkids as well.

I put it in coffee. AND THE REST OF THE I just take it in a table spoon and take It. My wife saw it on some other site and seen where a man took it & within in days he could tell a difference. So I have only been on it for 2 or 3 days and haven't noticed anything yet. But you have to give it time to tell if it is going to work.

Coconut oil: 6 tbsps per day (or more; adjust to your experience) Recommended: 2 tbsps at each meal and 2 before bed.

Heat 1/3 coffee cup of coconut milk, the variety that contains 6g of sugar, place two tbsp. of coconut oil and after it melts in a moment, you have a tasty drink not unlike hot cocoa. For that matter, I sometimes add a chunk of unsweetened cocoa for flavor.
