Has anybody tried Trigger Point Therapy or Myofascial trigger point therapy?

It helps to free up blocked nerve junctions in the body and is used to treat pain-related conditions and improves the range of motion in the body.

yes, I was a subject for a massage therapist who was training in this. It was very relaxing and did not do anything noticeable for my pain.

I've tried it and it was extremely painful. My Physical Therapist said she could actually feel my tissues "uncoiling" and that is why it me hurt so much. Though I had it done about 20 times, it never helped to loosen my muscles or anything. I finally quit the sessions because it was so painful and I couldn't feel any results.

I was told that trigger points are 'metabolic waste products from normal cellular metabolism making the muscles really tense and sore and that the pain is from that process.

I was wondering if that the Trigger Point Therapy was of any benefit.

It helped short term but nothing long term. Therapist skill and experience is a huge factor on your success with it
