Another form of sinemet. Dissolves in your mouth and gets into the system quicker

based on internet on line data, the side effects for using Parcopa do not sound like any advantage. I think I would rather use Sinamet and drink a little water

I am now taking carbidopa/levodopa round light blue and it dissolves in my mouth. and the reason I take this is that my colon was removed and some meds don't dissolve. It has been so much better for me as I would take the Sinamet and I could tell it was just not working for me. Each person is different and we take what works for "us". it is not out of laziness to go get a glass of water.

I currently use it in addition to Carb/Levo and find it fast acting for when I need it when I am cycling or doing something that I need to be able to move quicker than I need to wait for the other to kick in. I have not had any negative side effects from it.

My husband is taking it. He started on it because he has a DBS and he had not been on the Sinamet any more. His mornings are getting very rough and his doctor wants to try this to see if it helps get him moving easier quickly. No side effects so far. I pray it works for him. Sorry I can't give more info to you.

I use the sinemet and Parcopa. Interchangably .Usually i take Parcopa first dose in the morning because i can be up and around in 20 min as opposed to 60 minites with sinemet. Everyone is different.. some meds work for one pwp. and not another.. ..i take both. Since they are both 25/100
