This is definitely something for your rheumatologist or her nurses, in my view. Other posters might have different suggestions, but it’s a strong drug and only given when really necessary

Hi. I was on Methotrexate, after 6 months my liver enzymes started rising, then I was put on the biologicals Humira then Orencia. Orencia worked v well for me but I got mouth ulcers which were painful enough to make me come off the meds and try researching options myself. I have since removed all dairy and red meat from my diet and now have no pain or swelling anymore. My rheumatologist has told me I dont need to attend her anymore. I have psoriatic arthritis not RA, and a history of allergies, this may not work for you but it would only take two weeks to see a difference....worth a try? Best of luck

I based a lot of what I did on a book called Inflamed by Shelly Malone. It's well worth a read. Don't forget to supplement with calcium if you remove dairy. Best of luck with whatever you try, as I say, it may not work for you but it only takes 2 weeks to try it out.

Hi, I don't know if you tried the no dairy-no red meat diet but if it had any effect at all I better add that I do also take turmeric with black pepper tablets and add spirulina powder to my breakfast granola, which is really good for inflammation. I ran out recently and my fingers started to ache so I thought I better give you this information too. Best of luck with everything.
