I am new here.

I have had RA for 4 years. I tried Ra meds but they made me worse and now I am trying to control it by the AIP diet. I have chronic pain in my hands and ankles but have never been swollen.

Wondering how others cope with this insidious disease!

My doctor told me to be on the Mediterranean diet, which I try to follow. It's hard when you live in Montana. Fish is so expensive here. I do eat turkey & chicken. I do eat beef although I try to limit it. I stay away from dairy & alcohol, too. Boring diet. I try to stay away from sugar or should I say, I limit it.

Like you I never had any swelling or feverish joints so I was questioning whether I really had RA. Blood tests were also negative. I got a second opinion and found out that I didn’t have RA. I have significant osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, Sicca Syndrome & Raynauds.
