Azathioprine

currently on Azathioprine, which is an immunosuppressant. Tonight burnt my finger on alight bulb when trying to change it (silly moment).

As immunosuppressant quite new to me (on medication for about 8 - 9 months), causes a few anxieties. Should I be worried about this burn whilst in an immunosuppressant? Does the immunosuppressant cause any issues here?

Shouldn't do so long as you keep it clean. Your body will have more trouble fighting infections but you do still have some resistance.

I've been on it for several years and have learned to be more careful with hygiene - keeping wounds clean and dry for example. If I'm in a crowded environment I usually put on a mask (covid has made this less of a big deal).

Thanks Lifluf for your reply. Useful hints from your experience. Hope all is going well for you.

Like you I am wearing Masks if I have to go indoors, including at A+E earlier this week.
