Hi, you maybe very low in B vitamins. these water soluble vitamins, and losing your large bowel means these vitamins are not absorbed as well, along with magnesium, phosphate and copper. has Gp done blood tests for vitamins and minerals?

Thanks willow 24 , after reading up on B12 deficiency , l had to fight to get a B12 injection from the GP , surgeon, did help, surely l cannot be the only patient, who suffered complications regarding this operation. Bus 169

My Brother (had ileostomy 20 yrs ago) gets headaches and aches due to deficiencies in B vits and certain minerals. Also he has to drink more than before otherwise gets a dehydrated headache, as obviously no large. bowel to absorb fluids back into body

hopefully someone else on forum might be able to help x
