I find myself doing a consolation run once more!

Having given up on intervals for the moment after a fail this morning, I decided to cheer myself up by going out and doing 5k this afternoon. It worked I feel much better for doing it and slightly smug that I have now done nearly 4 miles in one day, albeit with a couple of hours break in between. But you have to take the positives when you can!

:-)

Thats really good. Intervals are really hard, and I don't think its expected that you'll be completing them 100% from day one.

Maybe you could do your usual run and then do just a couple of faster/slower minutes in the middle of that run, rather than saving them all up for one go?

Intervals are tough and I think two runs in one day is something to feel pleased about !
