Yoga magic...

After years of saying 'Yoga?' no not for me, I like to go for the burn,' I had a pleasant surprise this morning. I really enjoyed it, in fact I was so relaxed at the end, I could just about peel myself off the floor to go for a swim via the sauna. Hmm the sauna, could handle nearly 10 minutes and that was it. I found the shower and thought, oh nice rinse down before the pool. I pressed the button and I really can't repeat the words and yelps when 6 or maybe a hundred blasts of freezing cold water attacked me from all angles! I stood there in amazement and massive shock before my legs somehow got out of there! I found out after I had stepped into a 'Russian shower,' and not used the normal one by the pool! Never again. After calming down I swam for a few lengths and realised I wasn't out of breath and felt much fitter than last time I went. I'm still very relaxed and calm and best of all my leg feels nearly normal again. The yoga and swimming I will carry on with but you can keep the Russian torture...

That had me snorting with laughter! I've never heard of Russian showers before, but will now know to avoid them like the plague! Hilarious. :D

Glad the leg's feeling better too.

Thanks greenlegs, yes it was like someone throwing a bucket of freezing cold water at me, a big bucket!! Hope you're enjoying your running.

I had a lovely short run today (ha - 22 minutes is now a short run! - isnt' that funny!) in the sunshine. I'd realised I'd been overdoing it a bit, with up to 50 minute runs the week after graduating, so am going a bit more gently for a few days.

Oh gosh, I shivered when I read that bit about the cold shower. Otherwise I was vicariously enjoying the yoga, sauna and swim. I feel very relaxed now. :)

Ha ha, yes that was a big wake up call! My muscles are aching after the yoga and swimming, good though, means something worked!
