Out in the ooze!

Went out yesterday after only one run in previous week because of the cold. It was more suitable for aquaplaining (not sure how to spell this). Running was hard work - soggy ground and weaving round puddles. I was very slow- not helped by bloke passing me after the 15 minute call and leaping the puddle lake I was about to skirt. I did finish and added the extra minute I lost fiddling with my iPod .

The wet over the last few months has really restricted my running tracks nearly a third of our local common is not navigable without stout wellies. I prefer to run off road as at 66 and new to running I'm very careful about my joints.

On the up side though it was great to see and feel the sun! I suppose also the squelch also gave me a bit of extra workout.
