I was feeling the same about this before I hurt my leg and had to take a proper rest! I think i'd rather run 2 days on and then 1 day off. I'm looking forward to seeing how people answer you're query :-)

Thank for replying, judging by other responses we are not alone in feeling like this

I felt exactly the same - raring to go on rest days, but then had to beat myself with a virtual stick to get of my backside on run day. I think it's psychological more than anything - if you were allowed to run every day, you'd probably feel the same you do now, just every day. I think it's got something to do with wanting to do it, but then, when the time comes to go out, the subliminal worries about it being difficult, not being able to do it, and just general internal laziness kick in and sort of stop you wanting to go.

I have this exact feeling on every run day, so very glad to hear I'm not alone! I have been forced to miss my runs before though, and I feel terribly guilty if I don't do them so I always run the next day :)

I am going to feel guilty if I cant get my runs in (Listen to me !! - runs). I'm on holiday next week. Will have to try that little bit harder to motivate myself.

I am exactly the same! When I first started, I would do two runs in two days and then leave a day before the next run. Be sensible and listen to your body. The problem is, you want to make running a habit, like brushing your teeth or showering but to form a habit you need to repeat the action everyday. I found walking my run-route backwards on my off days gave me something to do with a little bit of variety.
