That's week 4 done but I know I have knees!

This is my 1st entry, as I've not managed to work posting out so here goes!Last week (wk 3), on my last run, my left knee felt as if it was giving way, and it was the same today (my last run on wk 4). It felt odd while I walked but when I started running, it was fine. I'm just praying it doesn't get any worse. I'm nearly 56 years old, and have brittle type 1 diabetes, which makes for interesting times! For years, I've thought I couldn't run because of knee and ankle pain, but I've always just gone out & run. I'm really pleased with these pods. I can't wait for Monday, week 5! I'm feeling very pleasedf with myself and I've gained SO much time, as I get up to run at crack of dawn! I'm even thinking of getting some running shoes....

  • ....Don't run another step until you do...get some running shoes, that is. And get your gait analyzed first...they can do it where you get your shoes. Sore knees are nothing to fool with...just read my blogs...or search for "knee pain". A good pair of shoes may set you back a few bob, but they are priceless when it comes to pain-free(less) running.

Good on you for starting C25K!

  • Thank you Grammadog! I'll have a look to see where I can get fitted properly!

  • I agree get those proper shoes. They'll do your knees the world of good!

  • Thank you, I'm sure you're right...any excuse!
